Combining two great colors that go great together – the Vancouver Yarn Kit.
Each kit is a harmonious fusion of two skeins of an interesting, eye-catching multi-colored yarn with one skein of a contrasting semi solid. The pattern, the Vancouver Scarf, is inspired by the windows at the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Classical Chinese Garden in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Each window’s outline would provide a relief or border around an element of the garden, giving the eye an area of focus to see the small details in the surrounding flora. So too does this pattern, the Vancouver Scarf, provide an outline for the interesting patterning of the multi-color yarn as it is knit.
Along with the versatility of the color combinations, the pattern is very versatile. Knit it just as written for a long scarf. Knit it on the same number of cast on stitches and knit it shorter to join the ends in a cowl.
Knit the pattern as written to make a super long, colorful scarf. Just knit until you run out of yarn and then cast off in the semi solid color!
Or throw away convention and the pattern and use the yarns to make a color block scarf in Tunisian Crochet.
Which ever way you choose to knit it, you will love the interplay of color and easy of working with this great yarn bundle.
